Integration is the last step. Not the first.
The question we get most often is whether we connect to a particular ERP or WMS. The answer is almost always yes, and it is still the wrong first question. Connecting to a process where labels sit in the wrong place or read moments are missing only gives you wrong data faster.
In what order
This order is not negotiable, and that is the most important statement on this page.
01 / First alongside
In the Proof of Value, STOCKflow runs alongside your existing system. We compare what we read with what your system says. That difference is the first measurement right there.
02 / Then the physical workflow
Labels in the right place, read moments that fit the work, people who can handle it. As long as that is off, there is nothing sensible to connect to.
03 / Only then connect
Targeted, on the points that matter: stock movements, locations, or only the discrepancies. Usually that is less than what the first conversation asks for.
What an integration does and does not solve
Wel
- Putting registrations where the rest of your organization looks
- Removing double entry between STOCKflow and your ERP or WMS
- Making discrepancies visible in the system people already open
- Exporting to a BI environment if that is where you report
Niet
- Fixing a process where the labeling moment sits in the wrong place
- Making up for missing read moments
- Making data more reliable than the registration underneath it
- Replacing what your ERP or WMS already does
An integration inherits the quality of what sits underneath it and never improves on it. That sounds obvious, but it is exactly where projects come apart: months go into the integration first, and only then does someone notice that half the objects have no read moment at all.
What we have already connected to
These are systems we have built an integration for, not systems we think it could work with. If your package is not listed, that is not a no: the question is then which data has to come out and go in.
Exactly what gets exchanged differs per project and is usually less than what the first conversation asks for: stock movements, locations, or only the discrepancies.
